Whats New?

 

The Performance Evaluation dynamic form and process for the 2022-23 evaluation period has been revised and is now posted on the Human Resources Department Website for utilization. The form, timeline, and instructions can be found under Forms & Documents. Supervisors should plan to attend one of the information sessions. See Upcoming Events (below) for dates and times.

 

Staff Search Guidelines have been approved and are now implemented. These guidelines provide definitions and steps in the staff search process to ensure equitable practices for staff vacancies throughout the university. These new guidelines call for an Equity Advocate in most processes. If you are interested in becoming an Equity Advocate please enroll in one of the training modules listed in Upcoming Events (below). The Staff Guidelines can be viewed on the Human Resources Department website under Forms & Documents. 

 

Did you know .... 

 

... California minimum wage will increase to $15.50 effective January 1, 2023. The California minimum salary threshold for exempt employees will also increase to $1,240/week.

 

... the California COVID Supplement Paid Sick Leave benefit sunsets September 30, 2022.  Unless extended, employees must utilize their regular sick time accrual for COVID-19 related absences beginning October 1st.

 

... the Human Resources Department has just announced the 2022-23 required training modules for active faculty and staff. The modules can be accessed by selecting the Vector logo, under "HR Tools" in the MyCLU portal. We request completion by October 31, 2022. 

 

... you can meet virtually with a TIAA financial consultant to create a unique plan for your retirement? Get answers to the following questions and more:  
•     Do I have the right mix of investments to help me meet my goals? 
•     Am I saving enough to create the retirement income I need? 
•     How do I take income from my retirement account once I stop working? 
•     How do I plan for short-term goals such as saving for a house or paying for education? 
•     How do I manage debt, save money, and balance various financial priorities at the same time?

...the University has an electronic reporting system for complaints regarding harassment, discrimination and bias. World Mental Health Day - Ginger is partnering with Headspace to provide a 30 minute group meditation hosted by Headspace teacher Kassonga. Register here to join on October 11 at 9:00am.
