SEVP is reminding international students to beware of a scam involving individuals using the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) Response Center (SRC) hone numbers (703-603-3400 and 800-892-4829) and claiming to be SRC representatives. See this advisory on Study in the States as well the Social Security Administration and its Office of the Inspector General on scam alerts.

Study California supports international student success by awarding up to three scholarships ($1,000 each) to exceptional F-1 students studying at a Study California member institution.

 Application Deadline: October 31, 2026

Eligibility:

• Must be enrolled full-time in a degree program at a Study California member institution by January 31, 2027
• Must be in F-1 status
• Must hold a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (4.0 scale)

• May apply annually, but may only receive the scholarship once
• Must submit a complete application including:
• Application form
• Recommendation letter
• Most recent transcript
• Passport biographical page
• Proof of enrollment or admission
• Statement of academic & extracurricular achievements
• Explanation of financial need
• Statement of education and career goals
