Finals Freeze

Join us at Iceoplex on Saturday May 10th for a fun night on the ice—because nothing says “finals prep” like gliding (or wobbling) across the rink with friends. Whether you're a pro skater or just here for the vibes, come chill, take a breather, and enjoy a well-deserved study break!

THIS EVENT IS FREE FOR CLU STUDENTS! Transportation is not included.

Your Options After Graduation

Congratulations to all our F1 Students who will complete their program this spring 2025! Now what?

Students may apply for Optional Practical Training (OPT) with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)  as early as 90 days prior the program completion date and no later than 60 days after the program completion date. Your program completion date is the official end date of your last term/semester.To verify your program completion date, please review the academic calendar.

USCIS must receive your application no later than 30 days from the date your OPT I-20 was issued to you, but no later than the 60th day from your program completion date whichever is earlier. OISS Processing time: 7-10 business days

Not interested in Optional Practical Training (OPT)? Here are your options:

• Apply for a new academic program at CLU or at another institution? Make sure to email international@callutheran.edu BEFORE the start date of your new program to initiate your SEVIS transfer. 
• Changing your current F1 status to a different non-immigrant or immigrant status? Consult with a qualified immigration attorney regarding changing your status.
• Are you leaving the US after graduation? You must depart the U.S. within 60 days of completion of your academic program.
