If you plan to work in the U.S. after graduation, be sure to apply for OPT (Optional Practical Training) by submitting your "OPT Request" form through the OISS portal as the first step. You can apply as early as 90 days prior the program completion date and no later than 60 days after the program completion date. Your program completion date is the official end date of your last term/semester. To learn more, be sure you watch the OPT Workshop Video

The Brown Kiely, LLP Community Law Advocate Scholarship |

Brown Kiely, LLP is offering the Community Law Advocate Scholarship to support students who are passionate about using the law for the rights of individuals and their communities. This scholarship is intended for students who demonstrate a commitment to supporting individuals and their communities, along with an interest in using the law to make a positive impact. Deadline: Tuesday, March 31, 2026 Award Amount: $1,000 Eligibility: - Open to any student who is currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, graduate, or professional, program in the United States.

The scholarship applicant must be able to demonstrate a commitment to fighting for the rights of individuals and their communities and to be able to explain how their education goals will help them to be able to do this in the future

Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 or above.
Essay Requirement:
Submit an essay (maximum 1,000 words) responding to the following: - Describe a time you helped an individual and/or your community with a problem resulting from injustice

What did you do to help solve or mediate this problem?
- How has this experience informed your educational goals and desire to use the law to fight for what is right?
- How do you plan to continue this or similar advocacy in the future?
