DORFMAN INCUBATOR GRANTS: STARTUP FUNDING 

Dorfman Incubator Grants (DIG), housed within the Steven Dorfman Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at California Lutheran University, provide non-dilutive funding to support early-stage startups while creating meaningful, real-world learning opportunities for students.This program is designed for entrepreneurs at the earliest stages, when funding is hardest to access while emphasizing hands-on student involvement and knowledge-sharing within the Cal Lutheran community.

 

Deadline: May 15, 2026

 

Awards: $5,000-$50,000

 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must include a Cal Lutheran student or recent alum (within 1 year) in a meaningful role (e.g., co-founder, intern, research assistant, apprentice)
  • Student must be full-time (or planning to be full-time) and actively involved in how grant funds are used
  • The startup must be in the early stages (pre-seed to early growth)
  • Startup must be U.S.-based (California-based or incorporated in CA/Delaware preferred)
