Important Reminder: From May 19th to May 30th, the Office of International Student Services (OISS) will have limited appointment hours and services. As a result, processing times for requests and email responses may be slower than usual.

Center for Global Engagement is Closed Today

Please be advised that the Center for Global Engagement and most Cal Lutheran offices is closed Today (May 16) due to commencement day. We encourage you to plan accordingly.

Move-Out Deadline for Non-Graduating Students: 5 pm Today

Please make sure you move out in time to avoid the charges from Residence Life Office. Here are the Summer move-out deadlines:

• Friday, May 16, 2025 for Non-Graduating Students. All students who are not graduating must be moved out by 5 pm.
• Saturday, May 17, 2025 for Graduating Students. All graduating students must move out by noon (12 pm).

To avoid charges from Residence Life make sure you:

• Check out with an RA.
• Check out on time ($75 per hour charge for staying late).
• Clean your room and do not leave any items behind.
• Sign the blue form given to your suite by the RA ($25 charge if not signed).

Change of U.S. Address - Update Requirements

If you have moved since originally submitting your US-based residential address (where you physically reside), then you need to submit your change of LOCAL address update within 10 calendar days. You can check what residential (local) address is listed on your OISS Student Portal "Personal & Program" tab, and if requiring update(s), please proceed with the following steps:

• Go to Academic Services' "Forms & Documents" page
• Click on "Name/Address Change Form"
• Fill it out and send to academicservices@callutheran.edu 

After the university processes the update, the OISS will receive a notification that your local address was changed in SEVIS. Please allow up to 10 business days for the change to reflect on your OISS student portal.

Resources during Summer Break

What dining options are available during summer break for students staying on campus?

If you are staying on-campus over the summer, here are some helpful resources to support you during the break:

• Check out the CLU dining locations' hours for more information, and outreach to Res Life for resources and dorms occupancy during this timeframe.
• Please also know that the Ministry's Community Cupboard will remain open and accessible.
• Be sure to explore the "what's around you" guide for local grocery stores, restaurants, delivery options, and more. 
  
  

Deadline Approaching! Join the International Peer Mentor by May 30

Are you passionate about making a positive impact? Do you love helping others succeed? Do you have an experience of studying/living abroad? Then we want YOU to join our team as a International Peer Mentor!

*Application Deadline: Friday, May 30, 2025*

International Peer Mentors are a group of international students, returning study abroad students, or students who are interested in global exchanges. They help new students during International Orientation, to get acclimated with Cal Lutheran, and follow them all year-round while forming lifelong friendships!
